Our Story
In April of 2015, after going through a failed home buying experience costing us $3,000, we began rethinking options for our family's future. We started looking at property for sale in other states as we had developed a growing interest in homesteading and farming that we felt would be a good fit for our family. While taking every opportunity to research and learn new skills we made the most of our time by strategically planning family vacations to states with properties on our list.
Easter of 2016 brought us joy and a renewed motivation as we purchased acreage in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. With only our faith in God and a dream we set out working on a plan to move our family and start a new life for ourselves and our 6 children.
In 2017 we began the final steps of our plan that would take us out of the suburbs of Jacksonville, Florida and into our much anticipated homesteading adventure. We decided to name our family business Stevens Family Farms because we want "farm" to be a verb in our house. We don't just want it to be a place. We want it to be something we DO together!
